Tracy Galaxy FC
For the 2018 Tracy Competitive Soccer season, my younger brother’s team asked if I’d be willing to come up with a name and uniform for their team. I jumped at the opportunity.
WHY THIS?
I love soccer.
I love my little bro.
Who doesn’t want to design a jersey?
THE CHALLENGE
The team had chosen the name: Tracy Galaxy FC. No doubt, they pulled inspiration for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Luckily I was given complete freedom with the color palette, provided those colors were blue, white, and black.
THE APPROACH
Using a lighter blue to contrast more strongly against the black, and leaning into Tracy iconography, I was able to create a team brand that was sporty and true to the city.
